Privacy
Short version: I collect what you type into the mock-up form, I use it to build your mock-up and talk to you about it, and I don't give it to anybody else.
Who's collecting it
LexWeb, a one-person business run by Alex in Ontario, Canada. You can reach me at info@lexweb.net or 519‑939‑3194. There is nobody else — no team, no agency, no third party doing the work.
What I collect
From the mock-up form: your business name, your name, your phone number, your email address, your town, and the answers you give about what your business does and how you'd like the site to look. That's the whole list. There's no account to make and no password to remember.
If you phone or email me, I keep that conversation so I can pick up where we left off.
Why I collect it
To build the mock-up you asked for, and to contact you about it. Nothing else. I don't send newsletters, I don't run ads, and I will never sell, rent or hand your details to another business.
Where it's kept
Form submissions are stored in a database run by Supabase, and this website is hosted by Cloudflare. Both are established providers, and both may store or process information on servers outside Canada, including in the United States — which means that information can be subject to the laws of those countries. If you'd rather that didn't happen, phone me instead and I'll take your details down on paper.
How long I keep it
Until you ask me to delete it, or two years after we last spoke — whichever comes first. If you become a client, I keep what I need to look after your site for as long as I'm looking after it.
Counting visits
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It doesn't set cookies and it doesn't build a profile of you. I can see that a page was looked at; I can't see who looked at it. There are no advertising or tracking cookies anywhere on this site.
Your say over it
Email me and you can ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct something that's wrong, or ask me to delete the lot. It's free and I'll do it within 30 days — usually the same day, since it's one row in a table.
Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) also gives you the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you think I've mishandled your information. I'd rather you told me first so I can fix it, but that route is yours either way.
If this changes
The date at the top changes with it. If a change actually affects what happens to your information, I'll email anyone whose details I still hold rather than quietly editing the page.
